The Region will recognize, without regard to sport, any athlete for their academic performance. Each nominee must meet each of the following criteria:
- Must be submitted by Athletic Director.
- Must have completed (2) semesters of college work at the college from which student is nominated.
- Must have participated in at least one season at the varsity level at the college from which student is nominated.
- Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or better on a 4.0 scale for a minimum of 24 semester hours. In computing the final grade point average, remedial/development course work cannot be used to meet the requirements for this award. All hours are to be utilized.
